What is waterjet cutting?

Waterjet cutting is the process off using high-pressure water (approx 60,000 psi) mixed with an abrasive material to cut virtually any metal. The jet is focused through an orifice 0.7mm in diameter, that speeds up to Mach 3 (3 times the speed of sound). It is the most versatile method of cutting as there is no tooling required, and therefore no expensive tool making costs.
We use Calypso Waterjet 3000 x 2000mm Cutting Bed up to 125mm thick.
